6 years old Isma-5, Gulmi. He lives in a very remote area of Isma with his family.

They do household work and agriculture for their living. 9 years ago, he fell down from Hill and hurt his back. He was taken of nearby hospital in Gulmi and was diagnosed with spinal cord Injury.

He was referred to higher centres for treatment but due to poor economic condition of the family he could not get proper treatment.

He was bedridden and he could not move his body part below his waist and had to be supported throughout his daily activities.

He is doing toilet and urine also from his bed and he has very old wife and 10 years grandson helping him all the time.

His ten years grandson he never has been school because no money to send and he have to looking after his grandfather Krishna always.

So, we provided him with a Wheelchair, Commode chair and built him a disable friendly toilet and disable friendly environment. Now he can move around very early, do his ADL’S with less support.

Due to harsh geographical condition, there was no proper transportation facilities. It was very much costly to build him the disable friendly environment. As every material had to be carried by person for from his home.

The Pt. as well as the family members are very happy and grateful towards the service provided by Hope Disability Centre. 2 hours away from the motorcycle from the HDC.
