Dhan Bahadur Thapa ,37 years old male Malia-5, Gulmi. Pt. Lives with his family in a remote area of Gulmi. He used to do carpenter work.

During his time of work, unfortunately while cutting down a tree, the tree fell down upon him.

This crushed his lower limbs and there was a fracture of several ribs.

He had taken treatment for the same in Trauma Centre, Kathmandu. He has taken a loan of 10 lakh rupees but he was not cured completely.

He has a mother who is very old 10 years a wife and 2- children.

Due to poor economic conditions and loans, it has made it difficult for the family members to sustain their living.

He has become dependent on all of his ADL’S, his wife has to carry him out every time. His house is far from Tamghas and in a very difficult geographical condition.

So, HDC provided him with a wheelchair.

He had no disabled friendly environment and toilet so HDC built him a disabled friendly toilet and environment along with providing him a wheelchair with the help of funds by Gail and Gord.

Now, he can move around in a wheelchair without much help. He and his family members are very happy and grateful towards the service provided by HDC.
