Meena, a success story

Today a girl named Meena visited us after successful surgery and fitting orthopedic shoes for both legs. She was a burn victim when she was one year old. We went for a camp to her village and she came for a check-up and she asked me many times for leg surgery.  I suggested to go to Kathmandu Hospital and see what could be done for her.

Now after 4 months going back and forward to Hospital she looks normal after right leg surgery.

Her family are farmers and her father won’t allow her go to anywhere because she is an unmarried girl and has to stay at home. She wants a job and go outside even her father is not happy.

She is so happy because she looks so normal.  She said before everybody looked at me. “Now I got a new life and I never believed in my whole life I will be able to wear a shoe, but I am so lucky”, she said. “Thank you so much ALTSO and Hope Disability Centre you are my God!  Because of your efforts it enables to walk hilly areas and I am more independent. I am praying for my all donors who helped me”, she said.
