Artificial limbs: HDC brings hope for needy amputee

On 24th April 2017 Hope Disability Centre organized a free prosthetic limbs and orthopedic shoes distribution program as a part of annual schedule of programs. All the prosthesis was custom made as per the need of patients. A total of fifteen people who lost their various parts of limbs were benefited by the program. Out of fifteen benefited people five were children, six were adults below 25 years of age and four were aged people. Three people were provided below elbow prosthetic limb, out of which two were mechanical type and one cosmetic type. Nine people were provided prosthetic legs, out of which four were above knee and five were below knee type. One child was provided orthopedic shoes. Measurements were taken for two new prosthetic legs from two people.
